What to know BEFORE your blood screening:

  • Why should I get a blood screening?

    Taking part in an annual low-cost blood screening gives you tools to monitor and evaluate your level of wellness. Taking an active part in managing your personal health and wellness can result in a long, fulfilling life and help control expenses associated with disease management. From cholesterol and glucose levels to thyroid and prostate levels, WHF offers a variety of screenings. We strongly recommend that you share your results with your physician or care provider.

  • What screenings are offered?

  • Do I need to fast?

    Our 33-level Blood Chemistry Panel is recommended with 12 hours of fasting, specifically for the fasting glucose and cholesterol readings. The Vitamin B-12 also recommends 12 hours of fasting. The C-Reactive Protein (CRP) screening requires that the participant abstain from caffeine for 12 hours.

    You are exempt from the fasting recommendations, if you are diabetic. We encourage you to follow the fasting recommendations from your physician or care provider.

    Please remember to drink plenty of water prior to any blood screening and take medications as usual.

  • Do I need an appointment?

    Yes. We are now scheduling appointments to meet social distancing expectations or requirements. visit our Appointments page or call us at 800.979.3711.

  • How long does it take for results to come in?

    Results are typically available in your online account within 3-5 business days. Results are generally mailed within 7-10 business days. Exceptions apply for the following screenings: T3 Reverse, Women's Testosterone and Celiac.

  • How do I share my results with my physician?

    We can fax results to your physician! Please let us know at the time of your appointment that you would like to have your results shared. Having the fax number with you is helpful, though not a requirement.

  • How can I find a screening near me?

    WHF hosts weekly and monthly draws at several locations throughout Wyoming and surrounding areas. To find a screening near you, view our

  • What methods of payment are accepted?

    WHF accepts all forms of payment. Cash, Check or Credit Card will be required at the time of the blood draw.

  • Does WHF bill insurance companies?

    WHF is now a preferred provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming. We can submit the claim for you, subject to your wellness benefits. You will be invoiced for any screenings not covered by your insurance plan.

    We are in the process of working with other insurance companies as well to become in-network. If we are unable to bill your insurance, you will be provided with an itemized receipt with corresponding CPT codes to present for reimbursement, subject to your wellness benefit.

    WHF works with our corporate clients to maximize their benefits and cost savings within their insurance plans.

    We are not a Medicare provider.

  • I have insurance. Should I still attend a WHF blood screening event?

    WHF is now a preferred provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming. We can submit the claim for you, subject to your wellness benefits. You will be invoiced for any screenings not covered by your insurance plan.

    WHF provides low cost wellness screenings. The intent is to save you money for these screenings. Lowering the costs billed to your insurance can assist in reducing you and your employer’s insurance premiums. It is best for you to contact your insurance regarding specific coverages within your plan.

What to know AFTER your blood screening:

  • What should I do if I still haven't received my results?

    You can typically check your results online within 3-5 business days for immediate viewing. There are exceptions to this for the T3 Reverse, Women's Testosterone and Celiac screenings. We do not email results, following HIPAA guidelines.

    Results can be expected by mail within 7 - 10 business days. If you have not received them within that time frame, please give us a call at 800.979.3711 for assistance.

  • How do I view my results online?

    If you haven’t registered your account at Wyoming Health Fairs, you can do so by going to the results page to “Create New Account”. You will need your receipt for the customer number and PIN code. If you need assistance, please call us at 800-979-3711.

    If you have previously created an account and have forgotten your password, choose the forgot password option and a password reset will be sent to you.

  • Now that my results are online, will I still get a copy in the mail?

    WHF can send a printed copy of your blood screening results to the mailing address provided, unless you opted for online results only. In the event you need an additional copy of your results, please call us at 800-979-3711 to make the request.

  • What should I do if I lost my results?

    You will always have access to your blood screening results via your online account. Simply log in to view them. You may also contact us at 800-979-3711 to request a mailed copy of your results.

  • I lost my receipt. Can I get another one?

    Of course! Please contact us at 800-979-3711 to obtain an additional copy of your receipt.

  • How do I share my results with my physician?

    We can help you with that. Please call us at 800.979.3711.

  • What do I do if I have questions about my results?

    WHF always encourages you to share your blood screening results with your physician or care provider. For general questions about what your results mean, you can go to our Low Cost Screenings page, as well as find the reference ranges on your results. The reference ranges are available on the printed results and your online results. As an additional resource, we also have a Director of Clinical Services.

  • Can I obtain my entire WHF blood results?

    YES! WHF keeps all of your records. Contact us at 800-979-3711 to obtain a copy of your previous years’ results.
