Is this a tip?
Nope! We don't see a penny of the fees you pay. Instead, your donation covers the fee that we would otherwise pay to cover every transaction. The fee you pay goes straight to the card issuer (e.g. Visa). You fee payment may be considered a donation by the IRS*.
Why should I cover processing fees?
As we are a non-profit, we price our tests & services as low as possible. This means that every penny goes towards keeping our doors open to serve the greater community. Paying fees on payments we receive is factored into our decision when we raise prices, so the less fees we pay, the less you have to pay for tests in the long term.

WHF is charged 2.2-3.8% of each transaction that is paid over the internet vs less than 1% in person. This mean of every $100 paid to us online, we may only receive $96.80, costing us upwards of 300% more than in-person or check payments.
What are processing fees and what will it cost me?
Depending on your card brand (the more cash-back and rewards the card offers, the more it costs us to take that card), the processing fee varies from 2.2% all the way to 3.8% for AmEx. Our system is design to ensure that you pay the exact fee, and not a penny more.
