Director of Business Development
Part of the WHF team since October 2010
Kendra Vasquez is Director of Business Development at WHF and works mainly with Corporate Clients, coordinating on-site blood draws, as well as customizing corporate wellness programs, work-site wellness, and hopefully helping businesses achieve their overall end goal of a healthier, happier, more productive population.
I became part of the WHF team in 2010, and besides a brief, “is the grass greener” parting in 2013, have worked here ever since coming back in 2015. I truly love my job and whole heartedly believe in what we do and what we offer our clients and communities. We 100% are blessed to have the culture that we do at WHF and are fortunate for the wonderful people who make up our “work environment.” We are a family, and genuinely care and have concern for our co-workers, who are often called friends or family. I’ve worked in three different departments at WHF, and I believe it helps me have unique insight to better help our customers. In the past, my work included interacting with participants, and my position now allows me to work mostly with clients, which I enjoy, and prefer. It feels amazing to extend the great benefits of what we have to offer, to our corporate clients and their employees, all while keeping their screenings low-cost. Helping to educate clients on their wellness, and them taking the next step in their wellness journey, year after year, is absolutely rewarding.
Fun Facts: I’m a perfectionist. I am a recent newlywed, marrying Tim, whom I’ve been in a relationship with for over eight years. We are the parents of six children, three of which I gave birth to. We each have two boys and a girl, and they are all within two years of each other, ranging from 12-22. I love being a mom, and it is by far my greatest accomplishment, and greatest joy. Anyone who knows me, knows I can’t start my day until I stop at Starbucks and get my grande iced caramel macchiato with sugar-free vanilla. I like Hip-Hop music, I love 80’s John Hughes films, I like fitness, and strive to live it one day. I like a lot of different fashion trends, and I usually just wear what feels comfortable to me. Sometimes it looks 70’s or 80’s, and sometimes it’s trending now. I describe my taste as “Shabby Chic,” my husband asks if I got dressed in the dark most of the time! I’m obsessed with hand-made leather shoes, and I collect them. (another way to say I have a shopping problem when it comes to shoes) I like to do a lot of DIY projects that I see on Pinterest. I’m grateful, blessed, and try to stay humble.
National Sales Manager
Part of the WHF Team since December 2018
Wyoming Health Fairs and I go way back, from my first days at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Wyoming when I invited them to present to our sales staff. During that time, I was diagnosed with pre-throat cancer, which began my journey discovering the power of wellbeing, one health screen at a time. Today, I am cancer free, and learned that when armed with my blood screening results, not only are my annual examinations maximized, but most importantly, I understand where I am at, where I’ve been, and what I need to improve, from the inside out. Throughout my 20-year career in the health insurance industry, Wyoming Health Fairs was my “go-to” provider for preventive care health screening blood draws.
My wife, two kids, and two dogs, have called Cheyenne, Wyoming, home for over 20 years. Outside of work, you may see us at: the Cheyenne Civic Center for a recital (our daughter/instructor and dancer); a USA Swimming Event (our son/swimmer), at the Cheyenne YMCA (my wife a spinning instructor), flipping "Pancake Breakfast"/Cheyenne Frontier Days (Kiwanian since 2003) or at a 5K and triathlon events.
